Privacy Policy

Fable is operated by Noetic Technologies Inc. This policy applies to Fable websites, applications, features, and services that link to it.

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account information, such as email address, display name, profile image, and authentication details.
• Content you create or upload, including characters, scenes, worlds, messages, images, reports, profile notes, and settings.
• Preferences, such as voice, theme, model, mature-content, and personalization settings.
• Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

We also collect information automatically, such as device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, feature usage, crash logs, cookies, session data, and approximate location inferred from technical signals.

Depending on how you use Fable, the information we collect may include identifiers, account records, commercial or usage information, internet or device activity, approximate location, audio or visual content, inferences from your activity, and user-generated content.

Some content you choose to provide may reveal sensitive information. Fable does not require you to provide sensitive personal information, and you should not submit sensitive information unless you understand that it may be processed to provide the service.

We collect information from you, from your device and browser, from your use of Fable, from other users who interact with your public content or report content, and from service providers that help operate Fable.

Fable uses AI systems to generate character responses, narration, images, summaries, recommendations, memories, and other interactive features. Your messages and created content may be processed by our AI providers to deliver those features.

Some features create memory records or summaries so characters can maintain continuity across conversations. You should avoid sharing sensitive information that you do not want processed or remembered by the service.

Voice features may process text, audio, generated speech, voice preferences, and call metadata to provide speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice chat experiences.

We may send prompts, messages, generated content, images, voice data, metadata, and safety signals to third-party AI, image, moderation, and voice providers so they can provide services to Fable. We use provider settings, contracts, or product controls designed to limit provider use of Fable data to providing and securing those services where available, but provider terms may vary.

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Fable.
• Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
• Generate AI responses, images, memory retrieval, recommendations, and simulations.
• Operate payments, usage limits, analytics, debugging, moderation, and support.
• Send account, product, safety, and administrative communications.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Where required by law, we process information based on your consent, our need to perform our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Fable, protecting users and the service, complying with law, and exercising or defending legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers that host, store, secure, analyze, moderate, or process content for Fable.
• AI, image, voice, database, authentication, analytics, and infrastructure providers needed to operate the service.
• Other users when you publish public characters, scenes, worlds, profile information, or other public content.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law, legal process, safety needs, or rights enforcement.
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used in California privacy law. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.

Characters, scenes, worlds, profile details, images, tags, and other content marked public may be visible to other users and may appear in search, discovery, recommendations, feeds, or promotional surfaces. Do not publish private, confidential, or third-party personal information unless you have permission.

We may review, scan, remove, restrict, or preserve content, account information, and activity when needed to enforce our Terms, detect fraud or abuse, protect users, comply with law, or respond to reports. This may include automated systems and human review.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and product functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect core features such as signing in.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Fable, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. Some deleted content may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, restrict, or opt out of certain processing of your personal information.

You can update some account information in Fable. For other requests, contact tony@getnoetic.ai. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or uses of sensitive personal information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. To submit a request, contact tony@getnoetic.ai.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with similar laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Fable is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Fable, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Users who are at least 13 but under the age of majority where they live should use Fable only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. We may remove accounts or content when we believe the service is being used by someone who is not eligible.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we learn of a security incident involving personal information, we will evaluate the incident and provide notices when required by law.

Fable may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your location.

Some browsers send Do Not Track signals. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to those signals, so Fable does not currently respond to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the effective date or providing in-product notice.
